Komili Olive And Olive Oil Institute

If olives, olive trees, olive oil and their culture have lived on for generations, we owe this to our women olive farmers who work with patience and great effort, cultivating the land and caring for olives as if they were their own children..

In June 2023, Komili established the Komili Olive and Olive Oil Institute, which provides training to women olive farmers to make olive production more sustainable and efficient. The Komili Olive and Olive Oil Institute project, implemented with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), aims to reveal Turkey's potential in olive and olive oil production and increase productivity by strengthening women's participation in olive farming activities.

The Olive Farmer's Handbook

We have prepared 'The Olive Grower's Essential Guide,' our resource book compiled from valuable information provided throughout the Komili Olive and Olive Oil Institute training program - a first of its kind in scope both in the world and in Turkey - with the goal of serving as a reference source primarily for farmers who have received training at our institute, as well as for all farmers who contribute their labor to olive production.

With the hope that the information contained in this guide we have prepared will contribute to preserving this culture that olives and olive oil have created for thousands of years and passing it on to future generations...

Online Seminars

As the Komili Olive and Olive Oil Institute, we organize online seminars by asking ourselves what kind of information we can provide to our women olive farmers who participate in our training about the olive tree, agricultural practices, the lands we live on, and the present and future of our world. We know that the first step in passing on this deep-rooted heritage to future generations is to multiply our knowledge by sharing it.
